The development of any nation begins with the welfare of children. They are a gift and blessing
to a family. They deserve the unconditional love and care of the parents. It is inhuman to take
advantage of their innocence and helplessness. However, a lot of children are being subjected to
child labour, abused, and abandoned due to lack of awareness. They are deprived of a happy and
normal childhood. As social issues have a profound impact on early childhood development, they
risk being among the biggest victims where their lives are also change in a profound ways. We
cannot hope for true growth and prosperity until and unless our young generation is safe and
healthy in every way.

Every situation brings new opportunities to question and supplement one’s commitments in
service to children. Yet, the root to tackle and hold onto any kind of situation did not get carried
away by negativity. With the presence of CHILLDINE in Nagaland, there has been a positive
gesticulation, placed by the community and the teams with their selfless contribution in making
sure the rights of every child are protected. As they are the most important part of each society,
their life plays an important role in influencing lifelong health and emotional development. Right
kind of education is the first step towards the up-liftmen of children. The educations provided
should be progressive, intact with the needs of the society and not only in creating great
professionals, but also great human. Capable of many feats and accomplishments, all they need
is proper channelization of abilities, right guidance, training, and a desired environment. Given
this, the posterity is sure to lead the nation to greater heights and newer world.

In this unison CHILDLINE 1098 continues to be an effective protection mechanism ensuring that
no child falls out of the social security and safety net and those who do receive necessary care
and protection to be brought back into the safety net. CHILDLINE 1098 continues to be a service
that spells hope for millions of children across the country operating 24-hours a day, 365 days a
year, free emergency phone service for children in need of care and protection. It not only
responds to the emergency needs but also link them to relevant services for their long-term care
and rehabilitation.

CHILDLINE 1098 since its inception 2011 in the state, has been a champion for child rights and
committed for a childhood in comprehensiveness, bounded by caring communities, free from
violence and with the opportunity that thrives as children do. CHILDLINE 1098 believes every
child has the right to education and a beautiful childhood. In this regards, CHILDLINE 1098 has
been ensuring child rights, protection and safety through direct intervention and advocacy
through unison consultation, and networking with various state mechanisms, stakeholders,
agencies and allied systems. CHILDLINE 1098 has intervened in a total of more than 2800 cases
in the year 2022-2023.
